Delegation of Fukuoka Seedling Association Visiting CRI

On Sep. 2nd, 2009, the 22-person delegation of Fukuoka Seedling Association led by Kuriki Yasuyuki visited CRI. Mr. LONG Li, Party Secretary of CRI, Prof. ZHONG Guangyan, Deputy Director of CRI, Prof. PENG Liangzhi, Deputy Director of CRI, and Dr. LI Zhongan, Director Assistant of CRI, received the Japanese delegation. Prof. ZHONG Guangyan gave the guests a brief introduction to the development of China’s citrus industry and CRI. The two parties held a discussion on the main citrus varieties, the rootstocks, and the nursery stock breeding in China and Japan.

The Japanese delegation also paid a visit to the laboratory of the National Center for Citrus Virus Elimination, the nursery and the Museum of Pest and Disease Specimens in CRI.
